Borussia Dortmund striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, the highest scorer in all of Europe’s top leagues this season, has now been targeted by Manchester United, but they have to fend off competition from FC Barcelona, Arsenal FC and Chelsea FC.
The 26 year old Gabon forward has scored 17 in 14 Bundesliga games and 22 goals in 18 matches overall this season for German club Borussia Dortmund and his exploits have gotten him on the most wanted list of a number of top clubs across Europe. Manchester United FC is the latest to join the race for Aubameyang, according to the Daily Mail.
The forward was born in France but chooses to play for the African country of Gabon. He was a finalist for the BBC African footballer of the Year award and forms a potent strike force at Dortmund along with German forward Marco Reus. This season however Aubameyang, who is a big comic book fan and often puts on masks of popular characters like Batman and Spiderman on to celebrate goals, has been the best performer for his club and his form has seen Dortmund consolidate the 2nd position in the Bundesliga table.
