Louis van Gaal is not having a good time at all and there’s even more bad news ahead for him — defender Marcos Rojo is set to be out of action for this year at least.

The Argentina defender looks to be set for a long period on the sidelines, or rather, in the infirmary, after he injured an already troublesome shoulder.

.

Although no definitive time frame has been given for Roho’s injury, it is said that the he will surely not play in the year 2015 anymore, according to the Daily Mirror.

The Argentina international suffered a shoulder injury after he fell awkwardly last week in training. He had fallen on the same shoulder 18 months ago, in a match against arch rivals Manchester City, and was out of action for quite some time back then as well.

Rojo did not undergo a surgery the first time he injured his shoulder, but he does not seem to have taken that chance this time round. The 25-year-old had his shoulder operated on and is expected to be out of action for a long time.

He posted a picture of himself after the surgery.

Big worries for van Gaal

As Manchester United crashed out of the Champions League with a 3-2 defeat at the hands of Wolfsburg, manager Louis van Gaal’s injury worries seem to have grown.

Six of Manchester United’s defenders are currently injured or doubtful and the Dutch manager is running out of options to put in his defence. After the Wolfsburg defeat, even Chris Smalling, who has been consistent this season, has been marked as doubtful for their next match against Bournemouth with a possible groin injury.
