Manchester United: Angel Di Maria Ponders Summer Exit From The Old Trafford Club

Angel di Maria moved to Manchester United from Real Madrid in the summer of 2014 in a deal worth 75 million pounds. He is the most expensive player in the history of Old Trafford club but the midfielder has miserably failed to justify his hefty price tag so far. The Argentine international is also disillusioned with the coaching methods of Louis van Gaal as he now looks ready to leave Manchester United in the summer of 2015.

Angel Di Maria was arguably the most influential midfielder of Real Madrida s record 10th UEFA Champions League campaign. He also won the Man of the Match award in the competitionsa final. But, to the surprise of many, Real Madrid decided to sale Angel Di Maria in 2014 and Manchester United made him their most expensive signing ever.

Apart from Angel Di Maria, Manchester United splashed huge money on the likes of Ander Herrera, Luke Shaw, Marcos Rojo, Daley Blind and Radamel Falcao in the summer of 2014. But in spite of having such wealth of talent at his disposal, Louis van Gaal made Angel Di Maria the lynchpin of his midfield.

Angel Di Maria made an encouraging start to his life at Manchester United as he scored 3 goals while provided six assists in his first 10 sarts for the club.

However, after making such a dream start for Manchester United, Angel Di Maria has failed to live upto the expectations of coach Louis van Gaal.

Louis van Gaal believes in rotating the positions of players but Angel Di Maria finds it difficult to adjust to the playing philosophy of the Dutchman.

As a result of his recent struggles, Angel Di Maria is no longer a guaranteed starter for Manchester United. Despite of spending huge money on Angel Di Maria, Louis van Gaal has given only 21 starts to the midfielder in the Premier League so far and reportedly, the player is not happy with his current situation at Manchester United.

Meanwhile, reports coming from England have also confirmed the desire of Angel Di Maria to leave Manchester United in the summer.

Goal has claimed it today that Angel Di Maria is intent on securing a summer move away from Manchester United just seven months after joining the club for a British record a 75 million, Goal understands.
