Manchester United target Edinson Cavani has rejected rumours which suggest that he is unhappy at PSG and claims that he will stay on in the French capital amidst interest from clubs like United, Arsenal and Liverpool.
With Zlatan Ibrahimovic leading the charge for PSG, Cavani has been relegated to the flanks and is understood to be frustrated with his role at the club. Reports suggest that Manchester United are interested in signing the Uruguayan international as a replacement for Radamel Falcao and ageing Robin Van Persie.
However speaking after their 1-3 defeat against Barcelona in the Champions League, Cavani claimed that his future lay in Paris and that he was focused on performing his duty for PSG.
“There is too much talk about my future but I will remain here. I will respect my contract and I’m only focusing on doing well for PSG.”
These comments will surely upset the plans for clubs like Arsenal, Manchester United and Liverpool who were eying a summer move for the striker who is believed to be unhappy with his current situation. Cavani is looked on as a summer target for United along with Liverpool who are struggling to fill the hole left behind by the departure of Luis Suarez.
However Edinson Cavania s future is likely to be decided only when the transfer window opens this year and the striker could still make a big-money move away from the French capital in the months to come.
