Paris Saint Germain’s mercurial striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic has remained coy over his future plans, amid speculation that Manchester United are looking to sign the Swedish ace, claiming that his future is in his agent, Mino Raiola’s hands.

Ibrahimovic has been linked with a move away from the French champions for some time now, with Arsenal FC, Manchester United and AC Milan, reportedly interested in the services of the 33-year-old. Earlier Manchester United manager, Louis Van Gaal had commented that the Red Devils were in the market for a ‘surprise striker’, however he later backtracked on his comments, suggesting that the media has misinterpret his hint.

Edinson Cavani to replace Zlatan as the lone striker?

Ibrahimovic signed for Paris Saint Germain from AC Milan in 2012, and has since lead the line for the Paris based club, with record-signing Edinson Cavani having to ply his trade on the wings. However, with the recent drop in form of the Swede coupled with his injuries, it is now believed that the Paris club are looking to play him a little deeper, with Cavani’s agent having confirmed that the 28-year-old will be handed a more central role this season.

Earlier, Manchester United manager had hinted that the club, were in the process of signing a “surprise striker”, with rumors suggesting that this ‘surprise’ signing might actually be Zlatan, as the Old Trafford club, currently only have Wayne Rooney as the only recognized senior striker in their ranks.

Ibrahimovic who was on the score-sheet in PSG’s 4-2 victory over Italian side Fiorentina, spoke after the game regarding his future. He said . :

“Should I stay in Paris? My future is in the hands of Mino Raiola.”

He also threw some light on the match against Fiorentina.

a It was a good game,” he added.

“The team played well but we must continue to work to find our rhythm. Against Fiorentina, we showed we were physically strong but mentally as well.

“We did a good job. Now we must continue working. It is only pre-season.”

Zlatan’s English adventure?

Ibrahimovic has played for many top clubs in his career, across various league’s but has never been able to play in the Premier League, however, he was once close to signing for Arsenal FC in his early days, when he famously declined a trial with The Gunners, saying: Zlatan doesn’t do auditions.

It is however being reported that AC Milan have Zlatan as their top-target and are willing to go to great length’s to bring the former Milan striker back to San Siro. With Paris Saint Germain looking to offload the striker in order to fund a move for Angel Di Maria, a move to Manchester United could very well be on the cards. Also, who would not like to see the talismanic striker score some wonder goals in the English Premier League.
