Manchester City: Pellegrini Looking To Bounce Back After West Ham Defeat

Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini is looking to bounce back after defeat last weekend at the hands of West Ham, and the Chilean is looking at his new signing Kevin de Bruyne to continue his goal-scoring form having found the back of the net on his full debut.

Manchester City travel to Spurs on Saturday, hoping to put an end to the 5-game unbeaten run the Londoners are on. The Citizens themselves are looking to bounce back from their loss last weekend with West Ham having won their last two games.

Pellegrini hoping his side can bounce back

Speaking ahead of the game, Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini was quoted as saying by the Guardian: a Hopefully we are over that defeat now.

“No matter how well you play it is impossible to win all your games because that is not what the Premier League is like. Almost any team in it can beat any other. The important thing is to keep on trusting in the way that you play. Maybe our intensity could still improve a little bit, especially when defending, but we have Vincent Kompany back and he has started the season very well.a

No side can dominate Premier League: Pellegrini

Pellegrini expects the Premier League to be close, despite his side making a swift start to the new season. When asked if Manchester City can dominate the league this year, Pellegrini played down the suggestion.

.

a Maybe Manchester United did that in the past,” he said.

“Then Chelsea for a while, but now there are too many good teams for it to happen. We felt we were unlucky against West Ham but they defended very well and they also won away at Arsenal and Liverpool.

“Not every team can do that but there are a lot of good teams in this division; too many for one club to run away with it.a
