Liverpool will face competition from Bayern Munich for Mateo Kovacic’s signature.

It seems that Brendan Rodgers and co. will have an even tougher task now as Italian newspaper Tuttosport claimed that the Pep Guardiola wants Kovacic to play for Bayern Munich next summer. The Spaniard is believed to think that Kovacic would be the ideal replacement for Bastian Schweinsteiger, who has been tipped for a move away from the Allianz Arena.
Italian media outlet Tuttomercatoweb recently claimed that Liverpool were told that Kovacic would not be parted with for any lesser than A?21m and the Reds remained indecisive about tabling the amount for the Croatian and were going to continue haggling for the midfielder.
