Liverpool are said to be keen on bringing Lucas Digne to Anfield in an attempt to bolster their squad. The Reds already have Alberto Moreno who they brought from Sevilla last summer for a sum in the region of A?12m. However, the Spaniard while not flopping did not exactly put in performances which justified the initial excitement regarding his signature. Moreover, the Reds have no back-up for Moreno with Enrique in all probability getting shipped off.

It made sense when reports stated Liverpool were keen on landing French starlet Lucas Digne from Paris Saint Germain.

The 21 year-old has also been linked to AS Roma, the side the Frenchman was said to be keen on joining due to his desire of teaming up with Rudi Garcia again, his manager at Lille. Atletico Madrid were also said to be in on him.

Digne was said to be keen on a move away from the Parisian club as he is unsure of how much playing time he will get there in the near future and naturally wants to play more especially as he looks to fight off a lot of competition to earn a spot for next yeara s Euro competition with Les Bleus are hosting.

However, reports now say PSG are unwilling to open talks regarding him. That is because the side cana t agree a deal for his replacement, Napolia s Faouzi Ghoulam. This means Liverpool are unlikely to get their man.
