Liverpool FC playmaker Philippe Coutinho marked his return to Liverpool FC with a pre-season goal against HJK Helsinki. The Reds fans were not too impressed with the the team’s display, though, if we are to sum up their reaction on Twitter.
Second half goals from Divock Origi and the returning Philippe Coutinho ensured Liverpool FC beat HJK 2-0 in a pre-season game.
The game was a dull affair until Origi opened the scoring with a well taken goal in the second half as the Reds came out with better movement and pressing.
Jordon Ibe, having starred in the Reds pre-season earning rave reviews, crossed low from the right which was flicked on by James Milner into the path of Origi who smashed the ball home from close range.
Making his first start of pre-season following the Copa America, Coutinho looked lively all afternoon despite his team mates struggling.
The Brazil star scored the second goal for the Reds, linking up well with new signing James Milner to run into space in the area, before his shot took a wicked deflection and found the back of the net.
However, Liverpool FC fans were not too impressed by the performance if one goes by the twitter reaction, and for good reason, with the Reds probably using it as a workout to improve their fitness.
Suarez with a sensational strike to give #LFC the lead against HJK Helsinki. Sorry, that’s how bored I’ve become.

GOAL!!!!! Origi turns and finishes well. Finally, something has happened in Helsinki. #LFC a James Pearce (@JamesPearceEcho) August 1, 2015
More directness and speed needed in #LFC ‘s final third, mediocre at best so far. That said, impressed with Ibe and Gomez.

Ings up front by him self is pointless…if Rodgers takes anything from this game please let it be to never play Ings up front by himself a Steeviiie (@Rishinoh) August 1, 2015
Henderson and Milner have both created 25 chances in the 4 pre season games they have played. Impressive. #lfc

Uneventful first half. Good showing from Ings, Ibe and Gomez though. Coutinho showing flashes of his brilliance. a Deleep (@TheSturridgeWay) August 1, 2015
