Liverpool FC manager Brendan Rodgers has revealed the status of his team ahead of the Reds visit to London for Monday night’s clash against Arsenal FC.
The Anfield outfit scraped through wins against Stoke City and AFC Bournemouth in their opening two fixtures of the season and will look to build on their winning start. A Philippe Coutinho thunderbolt settled the clash against Stoke City five minutes from time, while a Christian Benteke goal that should have been disallowed for offside helped them beat Premier League new boys AFC Bournemouth.
One or two players need to be assessed – Rodgers
Liverpool FC captain Jordan Henderson sustained a foot injury in the clash against Bournemouth and was withdrawn early in the second half. Rodgers revealed that the club continue to monitor the English international’s situation and will take a late call on whether the midfielder will start against the Gunners or not. Speaking in the pre-match press conference, as quoted by the club’s website, Rodgers said:

a Hea s obviously had the problem with his foot, but wea ll see how he goes over the next 48 hours and take it from there.a
The Irishman also commented that there are no fresh injury concerns within the squad and should Henderson be available, the same starting eleven who featured against Bournemouth will start against Arsenal FC.
