Liverpool FC prepare to take on Southampton in the League Cup tie, hoping to field their strongest XI of the season so far with Daniel Sturridge, Jordan Henderson and Phillipe Coutinho, all three available for selection for the first time together.
Reds manager Jurgen Klopp has indicated that he will be fielding his “strongest” possible team against Saints when the two sides meet tomorrow.
The German has been taking cup competitions very seriously with his new side, having also played strong side in the Europa League.
With Daniel Sturridge making his first Liverpool FC appearance since October and Jordan Henderson also returning for the first time since August in the win over Swansea, the Reds can feature their strongest possible XI yet, at some point in the game, with Coutinho also declared fit for the tie.

When asked about Henderson and Sturridge, Klopp was quoted saying by This Is Anfield: a Ita s good news, they did their job, which was important for us to keep the result. It was not easy [vs. Swansea].

Coutinho on his path to recovery
When asked about Reds’ Brazil star Coutinho, Klopp revealed that he had a good chance of playing should he continue to recover in the same manner as he has been all along.
Henderson, Sturridge, Benteke and Firmino are all back, while Philippe Coutinho has been passed fit after a hamstring scare. (James Pearce)

The winner of the tie will move on to the semi-finals of the League Cup. The Reds’ faithful will be hoping that the return of the trio will be enough for them to seal a place in the final four of the tournament.
