Mercurial Italian striker Mario Balotelli has thanked Liverpool FC fans for their time and opportunities having spent a futile season with the Merseyside club.
AC Milan signed up the Liverpool FC flop Mario Balotelli on a season long loan to put an end to his miserable second spell in England.
The gamble taken by the Anfield side on the Italian failed to pay off as the striker managed to scored a solitary league goal in 16 appearances and was dropped from the squad since the beginning of the season. Before his move to Anfield, the controversial striker had spent close to 18 months with the Rossoneri, scoring 30 goals in 54 appearances and has moved back to the San Siro i to reignite his career.
In his Facebook post, the striker thanked the Liverpool FC fans and maintained that he would continue to support the Reds, unless off course they face AC Milan.
Here’s what Balotelli had written on his Facebook page:
“Ia m grateful to Liverpool FC and Liverpool fans for the time and opportunities you gave me. Ita s not a goodbye but…”
