The new Premier League season has just kicked off, but, preliminary talks are already underway regarding possible destinations for Liverpool FC 2016 pre-season tour. And it could very well end up with a showdown with Steven Gerrard’s LA Galaxy as per reports in Liverpool Echo.

.

Liverpool FC traveled more than 30,000 mile to the far east in the pre-season which took them to Bangkok, Brisbane, Adelaide, Kuala Lumpur and Helsinki.

However, next summer could be less hectic for the club as they could very well be heading to America for a fortnight.

Just as they did in 2012 and 2014, Liverpool FC are expected to play one match at Bostona s historic Fenway Park a the home of the Red Sox, owned by Liverpool’s owners Fenway Sports Group.

Alongside Asia, the United States is a massive growing market for football clubs commercially. Liverpool FC have had a good turn out in their recent visits with huge crowds coming to watch the Reds in New York, Chicago, Charlotte, Baltimore and Miami.

Having mostly toured many destinations on Americaa s east coast, Liverpool FC intend to incorporate at least two stops on the west coast into the 2016 schedule as per reports in Liverpool Echo

And top on the list is the city of Los Angeles, raising the possibility of a friendly showdown with Liverpool FC legend Steven Gerrarda s LA Galaxy.

Gerrard has recently signed for the Los Angeles outfit after coming through the ranks and representing Liverpool FC for his entire playing career.

The prospect of Gerrard playing against his beloved Reds is a mouthwatering one, and while nothing is final yet, it will be something Reds fans across the globe will be wishing for.

Other City in consideration are San Francisco, San Diego and Seattle.
