Liverpool Eyeing Surprise Move For Juventus Midfielder Arturo Vidal

Liverpool have been linked with a surprise move for long term Manchester United target Arturo Vidal.

According to Italian publication Gazzetta dello Sport, Liverpool want to sign the Chilean in the summer.

Brendan Rodgers and Steven Gerrard have both recently spoken about the need to sign quality players and Arturo Vidal could prove to be that for the Premier League side. Liverpoola s underwhelming season has more than once shown the need for quality in a very average looking midfield and the Juventus midfielder’s arrival could help the Reds compete in all competitions next season and aim for a top 4 spot.

The 27 year-old has made 38 appearances for the Old Lady this season and has scored eight goals and grabbed four assists in the process.

Vidal will be a clear upgrade on the existing midfielder at Liverpool and the club should definitely go out to get a player of his quality as the Reds are devoid of some serious quality right now. The departure of Steven Gerrard would mean there is not even enough experience in the side and the presence of someone who has won and performed in big matches is needed in the Liverpool dressing room.

Brendan Rodgers recently spoke about finding quality in the summer when he said, a Thata s our job in the summer to replace and find the players who will make the difference.a

Juventus are reportedly eyeing Roma midfielder Radja Nainggolan and could sell Vidal to fund a swoop.

Manchester United have been tracking the Chilean for the last two years and the signing of the Chilean could prove to be a big step in the right direction.
