Lewandowski to Real Madrid? Spanish giants trying to lure Bayern Munich superstar according to reports in Spain

Reports in Spain claim that Real Madrid are trying to lure Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski to the Santiago Bernab u, with the Polish striker’s agent spotted at the stadium in Los Blancos‘ win over Getafe on Saturday

Bayern Munich forward Robert Lewandowski has been in sensational form this season, scoring 14 goals in the league thus far, including an incredible five-goal haul after coming on as a substitute against Wolfsburg.

His performances have clearly not gone unnoticed over in the Spanish capital, and fresh rumours have surfaced about a potential move by Los Blancos for the Polish striker after his agent Cezary Kucharski was spotted at the Bernab u on Saturday.

Real Madrid launching an ‘operation’ to sign Lewandowski?

Spanish daily newspaper AS have claimed that the wheels are being set in motion for a Real Madrid move for Lewandowski some time in the near future, with the striker reportedly open to a potential move away from Germany.

The report claims that Real Madrid will swoop for the 27-year-old once they receive confirmation that there is concrete interest from his side for a transfer. Lewandowski also supposedly sees Real Madrid as a club at which he can achieve some of his individual ambitions, including the FIFA Ballon d’Or.

Guillem Balague, the journalist who wrote the piece for AS, claims Lewandowski feels the time is ripe for a move to the Spanish capital, where he could earn a net annual salary of around a 12 million.

Move to Spain far from impossible

If there’s one thing that the football world has learned about Robert Lewandowski, it is that he is not afraid to make a controversial move for the sake of his career. The Poland international moved on a free from Borussia Dortmund to rivals Bayern Munich, and it will not be a surprise if he decides to leave for Real Madrid, whose political clout and global reputation could no doubt raise his individual profile.

Bayern themselves are a big enough club to be able to attract top strikers, and have options within the first-team squad — such as Thomas MA?ller and Mario G tze — who can play in that role when necessary. Lewandowski to Real Madrid is definitely one to keep an eye on over the coming months.
