Liverpool FC manager Jurgen Klopp is heading for his first clash with the FA, after he accused them of treating injured midfielder Jordan Rossister like a horse.

Liverpool FC have had quite a few injury problems with their English players, especially following the international break.

Brendan Rodgers had criticized Roy Hogdson’s handling of Daniel Sturridge when he was injured during England duty, last season, with Joe Gomez also getting injured during this international break while playing for England.

Klopp criticises Rossiter handling by the FA

It is the injury to the talented Jordan Rossister that has Liverpool FC fuming now. Jordan Rossiter played against Macedonia, Finland and Italy for England U-19 in a space of 5 days, resulting in a pulled hamstring.

Furious with the player playing so many games over such short duration, Klopp was quoted as saying by the Guardian:

a I have never heard of such a young player being asked to play three games in five days.I dona t know who I need to speak to about this but people from the club will be contacting the FA because this is not OK.

“I did not want to start my first week at Melwood with a complaint, but it cannot be normal to play three games in five days, even in England.

“What can I say? These young players are our future. If we handle them like horses then we get horses. We would prefer them to have time to develop and not feel too much pressure. Three games in five days for an 18-year-old is just wrong.a

If fit, Rossister would have surely started against Rubin Kazan, having started in both of the two Europa League ties the Anfield outfit have played so far in the tournament.

.

Rossister had looked very much the part in the Reds’ squad having been trusted by Rodgers to dictate the tempo in the midfield.
