Liverpool FC manager Jurgen Klopp has opened up about his January transfer plans, as the football fraternity expects Liverpool to actively participate in the transfer window.

Klopp has warned the Liverpool fans to not get their hopes up, but admitted he wouldn’t hold back to splurge the cash if it’s a good deal.

Big prices on market in January

Liverpool FC’s new man in charge Jurgen Klopp is expected to invest in the upcoming transfer window, but the German is not promising any new names.

“We try to be prepared at all times, but the January window isna t the easiest one,” said Klopp, who is preparing for his first transfer window as Liverpool manager.

.

“There are always big prices on the market, so Ia m not the biggest fan of the January window. But if we have to act then we will act. Maybe if a player leaves us, but I dona t know. I dona t like to speculate.”, Klopp said as reported by Liverpooloffside.

Although the January transfer market is not the best time to spend, Klopp believes if a player is worth it, one should not mind spending the cash.

“We have a lot of games during the transfer window,” Klopp added. “We arena t planning on bringing in more and more and more players, but if we have to act we will.”

Defenders on queue

Some clubs will be looking to save their season, others will want to make the most of a good run of form by investing in the January transfer window. At a busy time in the football calendar, Liverpool FC are expected to fix their defensive problems.

Defender Joel Matip is the most likely candidate to join Liverpool in January, as the Reds need immediate reinforcements at the back. There are also rumors of Klopp showing a keen interest in Kevin GroAYkreutz, who can cover either fullback position.
