Jurgen Klopp has been on the receiving end of a lot of praise and positive reviews, but it seems like one Premier League player is not very pleased with the Liverpool FC manager.
Jurgen Klopp has made the members of the West Brom squad his first enemies in the Premier League after having a confrontation with their staff, during the Liverpool – West Brom match in the weekend, wildly celebrating the equalising goal in front of them and then refusing to shake hands with the managers and assistants of West Brom.
A number of people associated with West Brom would probably be fuming at this behaviour and winger James McClean has condemned Klopp’s actions. According to Goal.com, he told . BBC Radio West Midlands: “I have got a lot of respect for the man because he done a great job at Dortmund, but I think he is a bit of an idiot to be honest.”
“On the game on Sunday you can’t act that way. Win, lose or draw you have got to be respectful.”
Emotional Klopp
Jurgen Klopp is a very emotional manager and does not refrain from letting his emotions show in the wildest ways possible. After the draw against West Brom he made the Liverpool players raise their arms and celebrate in front of the Kop.
His presence in the touch line is very different from a prim and proper English manager and his actions are bound to be met with a lot of mixed feelings. McClean does have a point about being respectful, but Klopp keeps his emotions just under the surface. It looks like he is only focused on getting Liverpool where they want to be on the PL table and not looking to make friends in the Premier League, judging from the West Brom game.
