Manchester United have claimed the pinnacle of the Premier League table as their own in more than hundred match-days and their Spanish conjurer in Juan Mata, in his personal blog, branded their feat as something new.

David Moyes cashed in on one of the most bizarre decisions of Jose Mourinho to land the former Valencia winger and the Red Devils have since gone through a period of transition to stabilize under their current manager.

The 27-year-old winger revealed that he had wanted the twenty-time title winners to clinch the top spot since his first day at the club and lauded his teammates for their good work. He however, assured to not get carried away by the achievement and also asserted that the road to their first title since the departure of Alex Ferguson could turn out to be long and tough.

. a Our victory, together with the defeat of Manchester City, took us to the top spot in the table, which is something new for me since I came to Manchester United,a wrote the Spaniard.

a From the first day I was hoping to see the team in this place the club has occupied for so many times in the past. Our current position is a consequence of the good work, but right now, still in September, it doesna t mean anything if we dona t keep working, and we do know that. We have ambition, but we are aware that the way ahead is very long and tough.a

Juan Mata has already started mesmerizing the English crowd with his wizardry chalking up four assists and three goals in seven Premier League outings under Louis van Gaal this season, and could be expected to seal a starting berth when Wolfsburg visit them on Wednesday night.
