Chelsea FC might be just three points from the relegation zone, but their players still seem to have full faith in manager Jose Mourinho.
The Clues have slumped to their seventh defeat in 12 Premier League matches, but the management still has not taken any steps to replace the Portuguese, something that is quite astonishing, considering the fact that they have been quite trigger-happy with other managers in the past.
However, it seems that the players are behind Mourinho this time round, and owner Roman Abramovich, although has maintained a sphinx-like silence, is believed to be sifting through his options to replace the “Special One”. One player who has come out in support of Mourinho is goalkeeper Asmir Begovic, who was brought in during the summer transfer window as Thibaut Courtois’ understudy.

“We are behind the manager – you can see that from our performances,” said Begovic to BBC. “We think he is the right man and someone we work hard for. His spirit and his presence is always there. We wanted to get a result for him.”
Chelsea FC attack to blame for bad results
Former England and Newcastle United striker Alan Shearer believes that it is because of Chelsea FC’s attack, that they have lost Saturday night’s match to Stoke City. He believes that the West London side did not do enough to trouble the Stoke defence.
“There were not enough questions being asked of the Stoke back four and they were very, very comfortable,” said Shearer.
“There was not enough running from Chelsea – people were going towards the ball rather than in behind. It was far too easy for Stoke to defend,” he continued. “That all changed when Loic Remy came on but before that it was just too easy for Stoke to defend against.”
Mourinho’s side had 63 per cent possession, while the 52-year-old Portuguese was serving-out his one-match stadium ban. They also hand nine corners and nine shots off target. However, for all their effort, they could only manage just four shots on goal, none of which was converted.
This defeat leaves some serious doubt over Mourinho’s future at Stamford Bridge, and it would be interesting to if and when Abramovic decides to wield the axe.
