Bayern Municha s versatile midfielder Javi Martinez sounded warning before their crucial UEFA Champions League semi-final encounter against FC Barcelona on Wednesday. The Spaniard hailed his club manager as the ‘best coach in the world’.

The Spanish midfielder admitted that they are facing several injury-related problems and that their opponents are one of the best teams currently in the world. Bayern Munich have lost their previous two encounters against Borussia Dortmund and Bayer Leverkusen while FC Barcelona have scored 14 goals in their last two matches against Getafe and CF Cordoba.

Speaking to Marca, the midfielder said, “Our run of injuries has been incredible. We’ve had them all year, but a lot, too many, have come all at once at a decisive juncture in which we’ve got everything at stake.

“These sorts of situations are when it’s important to have a squad like Bayern’s. It showed against Porto when, despite all the absentees, we put out a line-up capable of challenging and beating anybody.a

Regardring the strength of the Barcelona side Martinez opined, “Real Madrid need half a chance to score against you. You can’t say Bar a have all the best players in the world because Cristiano Ronaldo and Arjen Robben also belong on that list, but they’re the toughest opponents overall. This Bar a side press more, are more focused, are stronger at the back and have that extra killer instinct in Luis SuA?rez, who is a fantastic player and gives them a lot.

“Everything. We want to keep making history, which we’ve been doing for the last two years. We’re all hungry for more. It’s true we’re missing some players and have problems, but we’re Bayern and we’ve got the best coach in the world”.
