Adnan Januzaja s agent confirmed that he will remain at Manchester United despite lack of first-team chances.
Adnan Januzaj, who rose to fame under David Moyesa management at Manchester United . , had a largely frustrating last season as he rarely figured in the starting line-up under Moyesa successor a Louis van Gaal. As a result, the midfielder grew irritated with his role and also went on to express his frustration with being played out of position by the Dutchman.
The Belgian youngster was being linked with a move away from Manchester United with Real Sociedad being one of the favourites to sign the 20-year old on a loan spell. However, Januzaja s agent, Dirk De Vriese, has come forward and rubbished all claims that link the midfielder with a move to the Spanish club coached by David Moyes.
De Vriese told SportWitness: “This is total nonsense. Adnan is feeling good at Manchester United and they don’t want him to leave the club, he is considered still as their biggest talent since many years. There was a lot of top teams asking to buy him and a lot of sub-top teams to loan him but he will stay at Manchester United to become a legend in the club.”
Despite the comments from the agent, Adnan Januzaja s role at Manchester United is not likely to get a boost any time soon. With the presence of Juan Mata, Ashley Young and Angel Di Maria, it is already a tough task for the Belgium international to break into the first team. To top that off, United have gone on to sign PSV starlet Memphis Depay, who shone in the Dutch Eridivisie and is likely to become Van Gaala s go-to man next season.
