James Wilson, Jordan Ibe, And Joe Gomez Named In England U21 Squad

Manchester United striker James Wilson and Liverpool FC defender Joe Gomez and winger Jordan Ibe have been handed their first England Under-21 call-up by manager Gareth Southgate for next month’s matches with USA and Norway. Joining them are Chelsea FC’s Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Nathaniel Chalobah.

Gareth Southgatea s side is looking to bounce back from a disappointing European Championship campaign where they failed to qualify for the knockout rounds.

Southgate has named an astonishing 14 uncapped players in the squad, as he looks to blood new players for future squads.

The 14 uncapped players list include Liverpool FC’s duo, Jordan Ibe and Joe Gomez, with the latter having put in some assured displays for the Reds after signing from Chartlon Athletic in the summer.

Gomez has started all three of Liverpoola s fixtures so far this season, helping his team to keep clean sheets in each of those games.

Manchester United youngster James Wilson is yet to be included in Louis van Gaal’s matchday squad this season, but has been included in the squad for the first time following an impressive pre-season.

Also making their debut in the squad are Tottenham midfielder Delle Ali and Everton defender Brendan Galloway.

Chelsea FC duo Nathaniel Chalobah and Ruben Loftus-Cheek also made the squad alongside Arsenal FC defender Calum Chambers.
