Indian Super League: Delhi Dynamos Manager Roberto Carlos Expects A “Tough Match” Against NorthEast United FC

Delhi Dynamos welcome NorthEast United FC, but expects a a tough matcha in their Round 7 encounter of the Hero Indian Super League on Tuesday.

The Lions, who have a game in hand, currently lie in second place with 12 points and will look to pip FC Pune City with a victory over the Highlanders. Delhi Dynamos manager Roberto Carlos though is careful enough to not underestimate NorthEast United FC, who are placed just above bottom place Kerala Blasters FC. Carlos said in the press conference

a Sometimes, the table does not show the actual skills of a team. NorthEast United is a good team and have some great players. So I know they will do well and it will be a tough match.a

Delhi Dynamos defender John Arne Riise, who needs no further introduction, was happy to comment about his time in India, despite playing multiple positions and various conditions across the country.

a There is always some difficulty when you come to a new country. But I am feeling confident and stronger with each game that we play. We had five away games so far and some games have been difficult. Ita s been a good start for me and the team.a

NorthEast United, on the other hand, have found luck hard to come by with injuries forcing the management to sign replacement players. Coach Cesar Farias refuses to admit defeat, despite the league reaching its midway point and looks to put together a win streak in place as they look to challenge for a spot in the playoffs. Farias pointed out that the league is evenly poised and can turn very quickly for either teams.

.

a This league is even between teams and every game brings a different story. In the last game, there were accidental handballs (which were given as penalties). Ita s quite rare and that opened up the game.a

a Knowing that we have had long travels and back-to-back (away) games, there is not much time to think about what happened in the previous matches. When you lose, you do not see many positives, but there were positives and we hope to get the result we need (against Delhi Dynamos),a said the former Venezuela manager.
