Carlos Bacca’s mother Eloisa Ahumada has told the Colombian regional paper El Heraldo that she had lost her calm watching the fiery tie in which FC Barcelona star Neymar and Bacca were both sent off at the end of the match.
.
Neymar has been banned for four match ban as a result of the brawl involving Carlos Bacca following Brazila s loss against Colombia with the South American federation CONMEBOLa s disciplinary committee extending the provisional one game ban for Neymar to four games.
The suspension means that Neymar will miss the crucial final game with all four teams locked at three points in Group C, as well as the entire tournament should Brazil reach the finals.
The FC Barcelona star has come under increased criticism including from former Real Madrid star and Brazil legend Ronaldo.
Neymara s FC Barcelona team mates, however, have been very vocal in defending him. Dani Alves accused that the FC Barcelona star was provoked by Real Madrida s James Rodriguez and his Colombian team mates while Lionel Messi has joined in the chorus of outgoing FC Barcelona President Josep Maria Bartomeu and Javier Mascherano to defend the Brazil star.
With quite a few players coming out in defense of the Brazil star, Bacca’s mother felt that she probably needed to balance things out a bit, and has launched an extraordinary attack on the FC Barcelona star.
a I felt anger and helplessness; I wanted to be there to push him [Bacca] away so they couldna t hit him because it could have been serious,a Baccaa s mother said afterwards.
a But if Ia d have been in the stadium I would have taken off my high heel and hit Neymar; I know many women in the stadium would have joined me.a
Clearly, Carlos Bacca was not the only one from the Bacca family who wanted to have a go at the FC Barcelona star.
