Arsenal FC fans took to twitter to hurl vile abuse and send death threats to defender Gabriel Paulista, after it was revealed last night that midfielder Jack Wilshere sustained a hairline fracture in his ankle following a tackle by the Brazilian during training.

Wilshere has been ruled out for several weeks with a hairline fracture in his left fibula and the Gunners are sweating over the fitness of their prized asset. The exact length of absence of the midfielder is not yet known as it is yet to be determined whether the English international would need a surgery to ensure his full recovery. The injury was allegedly a result of a strong tackle from Arsenal FC’s January recruit Gabriel.

Wilshere has a history of long absence from the game due to injuries, especially due to the one’s pertaining to his ankle. However, a small section of Arsenal FC fans took to twitter to hurl vile abuse towards the Brazilian defender and some even crossed the line and issued death threats to the defender. This shameful behavior provoked a backlash from other sections of the Arsenal fans who criticized and condemned this unfathomable behavior.

.

Here are some of the tweets from Arsenal FC fans who were seen abusing the Brazilian:

Thank you for ending my boy’s career and ruining my title dream. I swear to God if I see you I’ll kill you. Believe that @gpaulista5. a 21ArsenalFC (@21ArsenaIIFC) August 5, 2015

And here are the fans who turned on their own fan base for good:

Ignore the abuse @gpaulista5. It’s only a small number of idiot people who aren’t fans of the club. a Kai (@ozrikk) August 5, 2015

@martinwhittle19 @Arsenal @gpaulista5 Terrible luck for Jack. But how can fans give Gabriel stick. These things happen in training

People tweeting Gabriel acting like he purposefully injured Wilshere. The state of you… a B Larsen | Arsenal (@BLarsenAFC1886) August 5, 2015

Some of our fans are abusing Wilshere for getting injured, some are abusing Gabriel for supposedly injuring him. The state of our fanbase. a a a? a??a?? (@CTArsenal) August 5, 2015

Wishing Wilshere the speediest of recoveries and Gabriel to continue being fierce in a tackle. Anyone abusing Gabriel on Twitter is a knob. a Mr Stapleton (@grizzlyboipro) August 5, 2015

The ‘so called’ @Arsenal fans hating on @gpaulista5 are the epitome of the element that we don’t want or need at my historic club. Disgrace!
