As Real Madrid and Manchester United continue to shift the blame on each other regarding David De Geaa s failed move to Spain, President Florentino Perez has temporarily closed the doors for the Spaniard, making it clear that Real Madrid will not make a move for him in January.

As reported earlier, Florentino Perez revealed the documents which indicated that it was Manchester United who failed to submit the necessary paperwork in time, in order to complete De Geaa s move to Real Madrid.

We will certainly not sign De Gea in January

As reported by ESPN, Florentino Perez has made it clear that Real Madrid will not be signing the Spanish goalkeeper in January, hinting that he expects De Gea to sign a new contract at Old Trafford.

.

“We will certainly not sign De Gea in January.

“Right now, we don’t contemplate this. We have three magnificent goalkeepers.”

Speaking about David De Gea, who is left in a peculiar position due to the failed transfer move, Perez said that he expects the goalkeeper to a do what is besta for his career.

“It’s difficult that a player will remain a year without playing. De Gea has to do what is best for his career.”

David de Gea is expected to extend his contract with Manchester United in order to regain his place in the starting eleven. Frozen out of the team by Louis Van Gaal, De Gea is aware that he needs to play regularly for the club in order to earn a place in the national team for Euro 2016. As reported earlier, Vicente Del Bosque has warned the goalkeeper that he is likely to lose his place in the team if he continues to spend time in the stands at Old Trafford.

With Real Madrid not committing to securing a move for De Gea in the following transfer window, the goalkeeper is unlikely to risk his career by continuing to alienate himself at Manchester United.
