FC Barcelona manager Luis Enrique has announced the 18-man squad that will make the trip to Celta Vigo and it included defender Gerard Pique who is back from suspension.
Gerard Pique’s return will ease the defensive woes at the Catalans ahead of a crunch schedule that sees them play 7 games in a gap of 22 days.
However, there was one blow for them with forward Sandro — who had a pretty decent game against Levante when he made his first start of the season — getting ruled out due to a bruised left leg.
Sandro joins the injury list consisting of Douglas, Claudio Bravo, Thomas Vermaelen and Rafinha.
Midfielder Gumbau, who made his senior FC Barcelona debut at the weekend after impressing in the B team has been included in the squad. The physically imposing midfielder had a good first game.
Despite his poor showing in the last game, Munir El Haddadi is in the squad and may feature at some point. Luis Suarez, Jordi Alba, Andres Iniesta were all rested for the game at the weekend and are expected to start again.
Sergi Roberto may come in for Ivan Rakitic, who has played in all games so far this season. Adriano may take up the right back role if Dani Alves is not fresh enough to start given his recent return from injury.
With Bravo still out, Marc-Andr Ter Stegen will continue in the goal.
