Brilliant move by Messi and an excellent pass from Jordi Alba helped Luis Suarez and FC Barcelona to double their tally and virtually seal their progression into the quarter finals of Champions League in the 31st minute.

Man City did came back strongly in the second half and a goal from Kun Aguero opened a window of opportunity for them but FC Barcelona defenders handled the pressure well to keep Citizens at Bay. Messi got a glorious opportunity to score the third goal for FC Barcelona in the dying moments of the match but he missed the penalty and a simple chance to score through a rebound header.
