Atletico Madrid ended the dominance of FC Barcelona and Real Madrid last year by winning the La Liga at Camp Nou. The Blaugrana now have a golden opportunity to do the same at Vicente Calderon tonight as they are just a win away from securing the title. Coach Luis Enrique has called on his players to treat this match as a a finala and win the La Liga crown tonight itself.

FC Barcelona, who were criticized in the early parts of this season, have proved their real worth in the recent months. A tie against Bayern Munich was the real test of their ability and they passed it with distinction.

The performance levels of FC Barcelona are even better in La Liga as they have taken a decisive lead over arch rivals Real Madrid.

The Blaugrana can win the La Liga title by securing all three points against Atletico Madrid at Vicente Calderon tonight and Luis Enrique did not hide his intention to finish the job as soon as possible in his press conference.

“It is final, gives us the opportunity to win a league title,” Luis Enrique said, before adding, “Atl tico Madrid are playing for third place. Ita ll be an open and interesting match.a

“We can do something difficult that’s only been done once in the Cluba s history. We have to play three great matches.”

“We are aware that we need to play intense football until the end of the season in order to win these titles.a

The fitness of Luis Suarez remains a concern for Luis Enrique. And the Asturian coach refused to confirm whether Suarez will play or not against Atletico Madrid tonight.

a He (Suarez) is much better, but we’ll see how he is tomorrow before deciding,” concluded Luis Enrique.
