Eden Hazard: I Want To Win The Champions League For Chelsea

Eden Hazard says his long-term future lies at Chelsea and he wants to bring the Champions League trophy back to Stamford Bridge, amid rumours of a Real Madrid move.

Eden Hazard has been linked with a move to the Bernabeu after Zinedine Zidane praised the Belgian and hinted at Madrida s interest in the midfielder. However, in his interview with Sky Sports, Hazard quashed all the rumours of a move away from London and expressed his desire to win several trophies for Chelsea, including the Champions League.

“Why not?” Hazard told Sky Sports a speaking ahead of the Arsenal-Chelsea encounter a when asked whether his long-term future lies in London. “I am happy here.

“I play with big players and the most important thing is I want to win trophies and with this club, it is possible.”

The one trophy that Hazard would like to add to the Chelsea cabinet is the coveted Champions League. The Belgium international is keen on bringing the trophy back to the Stamford Bridge just like Didier Drogba did in 2012.

“Champions League is difficult,” he added. “We play against a big team, but one day I hope I can win this trophy as it is the best. All the big players have won the Champions League and I hope I can bring, like Didier [Drogba] did, the Champions League to Stamford Bridge.”

At 24, Hazarda s name is already being taken in the same breath as Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo. Though the youngster admitted that he is keen on reaching the same level as the La Liga duo, he also insisted that he can improve more.

“Messi, Ronaldo they are on another planet, but yeah why not?” he said. “I try to be one of the best, so if I can be why not?

“(I’m) still young, but at 24 Messi had won two Ballon D’Or awards already. But I am still young and I can improve more.”

Hazard was named into PFA Premier League team of the year on Sunday and is tipped to grab the individual trophy as well.
