A Manchester United source has confirmed to Starsports that David De Gea will be expected to report for pre-season training at the club next Monday.
David de Gea is widely expected to swap Old Trafford for the Bernabeu this summer after the goalkeeper refused a reported A?200,000-per-week offer to stay at Manchester United.
It was also reported earlier by reliable papers like the Times, that Manchester United were all but resigned to losing their goalkeeper and believe that only a u-turn equivalent to what Wayne Rooney did to sign a contract in 2010 will prevent the Spain goalkeeper from joining Real Madrid.
However, the deal seems to have no hit a roadblock, with Manchester United refusing to let the player go for the reported 30 million Euro that has been offered by Real, as they look to sign Sergio Ramos.
Louis van Gaala s side will begin preparations for the new season at their Carrington training base next week, and Manchester United source has told Starsports that the player is expected to report for pre-season training.
.
a Unless an agreement (with Real Madrid) is reached before the start of next week, which is unlikely, David will return to the club for pre-season, which is not ideal for all concerned,a the source revealed to Starsport.
Spanish newspaper AS had reported that Real Madrid are fearful that they will be only able to secure De Gea as a free agent in 2016.
Real Madrid had been informed by Jorge Mendes, the agent of De Gea that the player is keen to move to Real Madrid but Manchester United are prepared to not sell him and run his contract down which expires in 2016 despite it meaning that the club will miss out on a significant chunk of transfer fee.
With Manchester United posting a record a 159 profit and with the massive sponsorship deals kicking in this season, there is no real need to sell players for money.
