Coutinho Snubbed For Brazil Friendly, Liverpool FC Fans Slam Dunga On Twitter

Liverpool FC star Philippe Coutinho has been left out of Brazila s latest squad for friendlies against Costa Rica and the United States in September, and it is fair to say that the Reds are utterly bemused by the decision.

Coutinho, who was named as the Liverpool FC player of the year and also was a part of the PFA Team of the Year 2014-15, was in the Brazil squad for Copa America and had played three games in the South American championship.

Brazil coach Dunga had said at the time that the player needs to be exposed to more international games.

But it seems that the Brazil manager has now decided to overlook Coutinho despite his recent wonder goal for Liverpool FC that won them the game against Stoke.

It is also fair to say that Liverpool FC fans were surprised that Dunga decided to overlook Coutinho and selected the 33-year-old Kaka in his place.

No place for Philippe Coutinho in the Brazil squad. Dunga must have turned off Stoke City v #LFC after 85 minutes.

Bit harsh on Coutinho, that. Clearly he needs to show he can do it on a cold, windy midweek night at Stoke. Not a Sunday afternoon.

a Ian Doyle (@IanDoyleSport) August 13, 2015

Coutinho has not been called up by Dunga for Brazil’s upcoming fixtures. Joke of a selection.

a Viktor Fagerstr m (@ViktorFagerLFC) August 13, 2015

Dunga; a waste of oxygen he is. Would like to know how on earth is KakA? better than Coutinho and Gabriel Paulista better than Thiago Silva.

a SA?n (@Zizouology) August 13, 2015

@LivEchoLFC lol it’s Dunga. He failed once as Brazil coach and he’s back failing again. Happy to have Phil for us. a Robert J Dobson (@Rogue_88) August 13, 2015

@LivEchoLFC clueless ….dunga will be out of a job soon a Ross (@rossharrison61) August 13, 2015

.

@LivEchoLFC deluded brazil coach. How many times must they exclude him

Coutinho left out of Brazil squad. Mad that. One of their best players #coutinho #brazil a Andy (@andytt87) August 13, 2015

How just how…. Just how how just how has Coutihno be left out the Brazil squad…. Just how how how ?Y? Y? Y Y? #lostfaith #Coutinho #BRAZIL

a Big Ben (@benriddock) August 13, 2015

I guess #Coutinho will leave for Barcelona or Real Madrid next season — not for trophies, but for a place in the national team. #Brazil a Girish Nair (@purl0inedletter) August 13, 2015

Some fans, though, were quite pleased with the fact that the Brazil star may be rested and injury free for Liverpool FC

@LFCRaleigh Anyone upset at Brazil’s dropping of #Coutinho needs to recall the injuries from Sep 2014’s int’l break #lfc

a Ken Kendra (@Kjkendra11) August 13, 2015

@LivEchoLFC Brazil’s loss in my eyes … Great news for us that at least he won’t get Crocked before the busy Christmas period :/

a Hedley Purton (@hedleypurton) August 13, 2015

@LivEchoLFC did he see his goal against Stoke???? He won’t be happy but good for LFC…YNWA Coutinho

a Adam Hogan (@Hoganov1) August 13, 2015

@LivEchoLFC better for us. We don’t risk having him back injured or tired

a LFC (@REDinLA) August 13, 2015

Personally not bothered that Coutinho isn’t selected, just means he will be more fit to play for us. Hope Coutinho doesnt take it badly tho.
