Chelsea FC’s Oscar Rules Out Juventus Move While Attending First Pre-Season In 5 Years

Chelsea FC star mid-fielder Oscar has rubbished reports linking him with a move to Juventus, claims he is ‘very, very happy at Chelsea’ as he attends the first pre-season of his Chelsea career.

The Brazilian has been linked with a move to Juventus in recent times, with him being a top target of the Old Lady as they look to sign a No. 10, following the departure of Andrea Pirlo and the imminent transfer of Arturo Vidal to Bayern Munich.

“I am very, very happy at Chelsea”- Oscar

The Brazilian has been singled out by Mourinho as being a key-player in his Chelsea FC squad. The 23-year-old is currently in Montreal, Canada attending his first pre-season tour in 5 years and has played almost non-stop football, before a thigh-injury forced him out of this season’s Copa America.

The mid-fielder in a recent interview said:

“I know there has been a lot of talk about Juventus, but I am very, very happy at Chelsea.

“Last year I signed a new contract and I want to stay a long time at Chelsea. I have never been unsettled by what was being said.

a I missed the end of last season but now I am over the injury and back to full fitness,a he continued. a I have been able to make the start of pre-season and am here to prepare for the season.

.

“I haven’t been able to do have a pre-season for the past five years because I have had to play so many games in the summer, so this pre-season for me is very important.”

The Chelsea FC star has been occupied during the last four pre-seasons, with the following duties:

Oscar needs to step up to the occasion

The flamboyant midfielder has been inconsistent with his performances over the last two seasons, with fatigue sighted as an obvious reason. Finally getting a rest after five seasons, could do wonder’s for the 23-year-old as he looks to kick-start his campaign after the injury.

Oscar has been touted by many to have equal potential as that of team-mate Eden Hazard, however, he hasn’t quite been able to live up to those expectations. Oscar would be looking to make that jump this season after finally getting the rest, albeit through an injury.

The mid-fielder would like to improve on his level of consistency, as Jose Mourinho is not known to be the most patient of manager, and he might look to offload the star mid-fielder in the future if he feels Oscar and not made the desired progress. With Juventus already interested in the services of the Brazilian as they consider him a top target.
