Danish teenager, Andreas Christensen, was part of Jos Mourinhoa s first-team squad last season at Chelsea FC, but is likely to be loaned out this summer in order to gain some first-team experience in top-flight football
According to Portuguese manager Jos Mourinho, Chelsea FCa s transfer plans during this summer window include signing a defender to increase the depth in the squad. Whilst that might be a left-back to replace Filipe Lu s, who has been linked with a return to Atl tico Madrid, a centre-back is likely to also be an area the Blues will look to strengthen.
As such, teenager Andreas Christensen, who signed for Chelsea FC from Danish side BrA?ndby IF at the age of 16, is likely to be loaned out so that he can potentially play more minutes of first-team football next season.
The teenager recently won his first cap for the senior Denmark national team, and has been a regular with the Danish U21 side that reached the semi-finals of the recently concluded U21 European Championship, losing to eventual winners Sweden.
There had been reports consistently linking Christensen with a loan to the Bundesliga, and now the sporting director of Borussia M nchengladbach Max Eberl has himself confirmed that the German side want to recruit the young centre-back on loan.
Eberl is quoted by German sports website spox.com as saying, a We want to loan Christensen from Chelsea. That would complete our plans for central defence.a Christensen is primarily a centre-back and that is probably where his long-term Chelsea FC future lies as well, meaning that his loan could be hugely beneficial for his development.

Christensena s playing style has often led to comparisons with former Chelsea FC centre-back Ricardo Carvalho. The Dane is extremely composed on the ball, has the ability to step out and distribute it effectively, and is very good at anticipating threats early and cutting them out. It is physically where Christensen mainly needs to develop and experience in the top flight will go a long way towards getting him ready in that regard.
The 19-year-old a whose contract expires in June 2016 a is expected to sign a long-term deal with Chelsea FC before going out on loan. Although Ligue 1 side Monaco were briefly linked with the Dane, it now appears as though Christensen will be playing in the Bundesliga next season.
