The 22 year-old centre back, who plays for Stuttgart in the Bundesliga has been vigorously linked with a move to Wolfsbur and according to reports in Germany, an agreement for him was already in place, but recent comments by his agent suggest there could be a late twist.

Rudigera s representative and half-brother Sahr Senesie claims the Premier League champions are also in the running for the player.

“I know therea s interest from Chelsea and Wolfsburg,” Senesie told Kicker.

Senesie does admit that the defender is keen to remain in the Bundesliga and thus Wolfsburg still might be in the driving seat for the player.

“Antonio would love to stay in Germany”, added Senesei.

The 22 year-old featured in 21 games in all competitions for Stuttgart last season and impressed greatly. He has 6 appearances for the senior Germany side.

The highly rated player boasts a strong stature and stands tall at 6ft 3 inches. He has a towering presence in the field and he is expectedly, very strong in the air and on the ground. His biggest strength though is his pace. He is incredibly pacey, especially for a defender. This enables him to be a ball playing centre back for the side and makes him a bigger asset. Blessed with strength and speed, it is no surprise he is attracting the attention from different clubs.
