Chelsea are currently going through their worst season under the Roman Abramovich era but the match against Norwich City represents an opportunity for the club to get their campaign back on track and the biggest piece of positive news for them is the return of right back Branislav Inavovic.
The Serb has been instrumental for the Blues over the years, but poor performances earlier this season has resulted in him getting some stick. Eventually, a hamstring injury forced him out of the starting lineup for some time. However, Ivanovic has been cleared to play in Chelsea FC’s home game against Norwich on Saturday, according to the Daily Star.
Ivanovic’s return is set to boost Chelsea FC’s chances, as their defenders will start looking more comfortable in their usual positions. Kurt Zouma would not have to play right back anymore, due to Ivanovic’s return, and is expected to partner up with captain John Terry in the heart of the defence. Meanwhile, Spaniard Cesar Azpilicueta is expected to slot back into the left fullback position, which he has made his own over the last few seasons.
Winning will get Chelsea FC out of impasse, says Ivanovic
.
On the eve of his apparent return to first team action, Ivanovic pointed out that Chelsea FC could wipe out all the questions that have been raised against them by simply getting the three points on the board. He believes that winning matches is all that matters and that it would take them back to a more familiar territory, higher up in the Premier League table.
“The only way to get out of this situation is to win, win and win again,” said Ivanovic (via Goal.com). “No one has seen anything strange in the team. It doesn’t matter the situation around you, your job is to win, your passion is winning games.
The West London side are just one point below Norwich on the 16th spot and would invariably jump a few places up the table with a win on Saturday.
