Chelsea FC Team News: Eden Hazard Doubtful For Sunderland Clash

Chelsea FC are in all sorts of turmoil with their manager Jose Mourinho being sacked, but they have even more bad news in store for them. Star man Eden Hazard may not be fit for the home game against Sunderland, in what looks like a relegation six-pointer.

The Belgian hobbled off in the first half of the 2-1 loss to league leaders Leicester City with a hip injury, and the former Chelsea FC boss had not revealed the extent of the winger’s ailment. According to the Daily Mail, Hazard is doubtful for the Sunderland game.

.

In a rare good news for the Chelsea FC fans this week, Sunderland’s star man Sebastian Larsson has been deemed unfit for the match, as the Swede is suffering from a knee injury. He is reportedly still around two weeks away from a return to action. Lee Cattermole is also set to miss the match, as he is reportedly suffering from a recurring back injury.

Newton, Holland to take charge

Hiddink expected to take the hot seat

Dutchman Guus Hiddink has already had one short stint as the interim manager at Stamford Bridge in 2009, and is tipped as the favourite to take charge again. While his appointment has not been made official yet, Hiddink has apparently traveled to London where he is reported to have had a meeting with Chelsea FC officials, according to the Daily Mirror. Hiddink has had an unsuccessful term as the manager of the Netherlands national team that failed to qualify for Euro 2016. The possible appointment as the interim manager could be his shot at redemption before a final swansong.
