Patrick Bamford has broken his silence over the frustration he has felt during his loan spell with Crystal Palace, with the Englishman failing to establish himself in the starting XI at Selhurst Park. Bamford claims he wants to go back to Chelsea FC, but admits it is up to the Eagles and his parent club to make the decision.
Bamford made just nine appearances in all competitions for Palace and failed to start a single game for the Alan Pardew’s side. The 22-year-old previously had loan spells at MK Dons, Derby County and Middlesbrough, and managed to impress in each of them as he made the step up from League One to the Championship seamlessly.
Crystal Palace loan a failure
Bamford was hoping to continue the prolific form at Crystal Palace, but as things turned out, the striker is fed up and wants to move on.
“This was my last game for Palace,” the 22-year-old is quoted as saying by The Telegraph. “If I were being honest, it has been terrible. No one wants to sit on the bench and not play.

“It was my decision. The coaches have just found out a I have told them I am going.”
Bamford insists there are no hard feelings between himself and the club
The England U21 intenational had a terrific chance to open the scoring against Swansea City on Monday, but his lack of confidence showed as his shot was straight at Lukasz Fabianski. But Bamford admits he shares a good relationship with Alan Pardew and there will be no hard feelings when he leaves the club.
“The gaffer [Alan Pardew] hasn’t actually spoken to me. I will go in and say bye now. But I think it will be fine. Shake hands and say it didn’t work out. No hard feelings.”
Alan Pardew was unaware at the press conference that Bamford wanted to leave, and when asked about the same, the former Newcastle United manager suggested it was up to Chelsea FC to decide his future.
