Chelsea FC defender Andreas Christensen and Midfielder Mario Pasalic set for loan deals to Inter Milan and Champions League bound Borussia Monchengladbach ahead of the new season.

Italian media reported yesterday of interest from Inter Milan to take Mario Pasalic on loan after impressive season with La Liga side Elche.

The 20-year old midfielder signed for Chelsea FC in 2014, and was immediately sent out on loan due to work permit issues. Following a bried period he took to settle in Spain, Pasalic became one of the best performers at the Elche that saw them avoid relegation.

Chelsea FC had recently loaned Wallace to Inter, who was benched most of the season, wasting a year of his development.

Chelsea FC manager Jose Mourinho had previously issued a gentle warning to the club’s next generation of players that he cannot absorb them all into his first-team squad.

Chelsea have a hugely talented group of youngsters coming through with their under 19s winning the UEFA Youth Champions League and the under 18s winning the FA Youth Cup beating Manchester City.

Jose Mouriho has indicated that Chelsea will continue its hugely successful policy of loaning players out so that they can develop.

“Some of the older ones will go on loan to play every game in the Championship or the Premier League, even abroad. And we will bring some of the younger ones into the process. But to have them all at the same time in the first-team squad is hard.”

“I cannot have a squad of 10 men and 10 kids. I must have a squad like we have now of 16 or 17 seniors and three or four kids.”

Chelsea FC are hoping to bring in a few players to maintain the balance and are currently locked in a battle with Manchester United for Brazil international defender Joao Miranda and are on the verge of sealing a deal for Radamel Falcao as a replacement of Didier Drogba on the back of a record 99 million pound prize money recouped by winning the Premier League.
