PSG’s Marquinhos is a wanted man with Barcelona and Chelsea interested in his services.
Barcelona boss Luis Enrique has been reportedly interested in the 21-year-old’s services and is said to be keen to press ahead with a move for him.
Marquinhos is not short of admirers and has also been strongly linked with Chelsea. The Premier League champions are believed to be interested in adding fresh blood to the squad and to their wobbly defence.
Even though Barcelona have just conceded three goals in the league so far, they need reinforcements as they have looked short in the back when Pique was out suspended. For the Catalans to defend their treble, they need some new players in the winter. Unsurprisingly, they have also been linked with Aymeric Laporte and Jose Gimenez. According to . Mundo Deportivo, the 21-year-old PSG centre-back is seen as more of a gettable option.
It will be interesting to see how much of a fight Chelsea put up as Jose Mourinho badly needs his defence sorted. Chelsea, which boasted one of the meanest defences last season, have been leaking goals for fun. Only 19th placed Sunderland have conceded more goals (18) than Chelsea (17).
Marquinhos could prove to be the solution for Mourinho. Le 10 Sport claim Chelsea are looking at bringing him to Stamford Bridge this January. The player has no choice but to be back up to David Luiz and Thiago Silva and would certainly not be opposed to moving to a club where he could get more game time.
The Brazilian has been linked with a move to Barcelona in the past as well. It has also been claimed that Chelsea failed with two bids for the Brazilian this summer, with their second bid reportedly in the region of A?30million.
