Blow For Manchester United As Ibrahimovic Declares He Is Happy To Stay At PSG

Zlatan Ibrahimovic has committed his immediate future to PSG stating that he is happy at the club despite interest from Manchester United.

Ibrahimovic has been linked with a move away from the French champions for some time now, with Arsenal FC, Manchester United and AC Milan, reportedly interested in the services of the 33-year-old.

Manchester United manager, Louis Van Gaal had sent the rumor mill into overdrive by stating that the club are in the market for a a surprise strikera .

There were suggestions that the target of the Manchester club could be the Swedish international who had played under van Gaal at Ajax.

Ibrahimovic had himself fuelled the rumors of his future when appearing less than sure of where it lay when he spoke after the pre-season game against Fiorentina

He said:a Should I stay in Paris? My future is in the hands of Mino Raiola.a

Happy to stay in “the best city in Europe”

However, Ibrahimovic, who has a year remaining on his contract, has put to rest any speculation of his future by stating that he is happy at PSG in an interview to ESPN FC.

He said:

“I have a contract for another year, so I’m a PSG player, and I’m happy at the club.

“I did great things in these three years and what I did, nobody can take away from me and my team is a fantastic team and I play with great players. I live in the best city in Europe, so I’m enjoying it.

“So all about future talks and that, I mean, there will always be talks, and I’m happy for the interest, but I’m a PSG player.”

Speaking in an interview with Sports Illustrated, earlier, Ibrahimovic had ruled out any possibility of a move to Manchester United by stating that he did not have a good relationship with van Gaal.

He said:a No, thata s not good. He was a director in Ajax, and the way he is working is not the way I work.a

When quizzed if moving to Old Trafford would be a problem, the striker replied: a Big Problema

Well, it is fair to say we can safely rule out the mercurial Swede moving to Manchester United till Louis van Gaal stays at the helm.
