Blow For Chelsea And Arsenal As Dybala Hints At Juventus Move

Palermo striker Paulo Dybala has been the subject of heavy interest from top European clubs due to his scintillating form this season.

The 21-year old so far has 13 goals and 10 assists in the league and has naturally been targeted by top clubs.

According to the club’s chairman Maurizio Zamparini, Arsenal and Juventus are definitely in the list of clubs who want him. Besides the duo, there are two other clubs- one foreign and one more Italian (believed to be AS Roma)

“Dybala is leaving at the end of the season and he and his agent are aiming for a top club, and they are right to do so,” Zamparini told Canal Plus. “Four clubs want him — two are Italian, the others foreign. Certainly Juve and Arsenal want him.”

Arsenal want to boost their squad for next season as they will hope to carry their present form into the next campaign and finish competing for the league title and other trophies. Chelsea have also been linked with the player. But Dybala’s comments suggest he would prefer to stay in Italy and with the league leaders wanting him and his admiration for Pirlo, the Argentinean could be on his way off to Turin.

“I admit it — I am very attached to Italy, where I have become famous, and I would like to stay here,” Dybala told La Gazzetta dello Sport.

“With a playmaker like him (Pirlo) everything becomes easier, particularly for a forward,” he said. “Pirlo makes even the most difficult things look easy. Did you see him against Monaco? It was from one of his amazing passes that the penalty arrived which decided the game. [Alvaro] Morata did well to go deep, but it was Pirlo’s invention.”

Dybala will be available for a 40 million and a bidding war for his services will definitely mean Palermo will make more money off him. However, if the player is interested in a move to Juventus, like his comments suggest, an initial bid from the Italian giants will be enough for them to land their target.
