According to reports, Borussia Dortmund manager Jurgen Klopp is set to leave the club at the end of the season, leaving Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester City on alert mode as a possible replacement for next season.
Though Jurgen Klopp has a contract that runs till 2018 with Borussia Dortmund, Bild reports that the manager has asked the CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke to release him from the contract at the end of the season.
Borussia Dortmund has endured a horrible season as the first team was blighted by a series of injuries. Close to relegation at one point during the campaign, Dortmund are currently on the 10th spot, 37 points behind league leaders Bayern Munich.
According to reports, clubs like Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester City in the English Premier League are keen to sign Jurgen Klopp as the manager for the coming season. Klopp has long been looked as the perfect successor to Arsene Wenger at Arsenal but he could be brought to Manchester as the replacement for Manuel Pellegrini who seems to have run out of time at the Etihad Stadium.
With Jurgen Klopp set to leave the club this summer, Thomas Tuchel is leading the race to replace him at Dortmund. However the most important question is that with Klopp set to leave the club, what will now prevent the likes of Mats Hummels, Marco Reus and other players from leaving the club. With the manager gone, Borussia Dortmund risk an exodus of talent from the club unless the new manager can convince the players to stay on at the club.
