Bayern Munich team doctor, Hans-Wilhelm Muller-Wohlfahrt, along with his entire team, has resigned from their posts after a shock defeat at the hands of FC Porto last Wednesday in the UEFA Champions League quarter-final.

According to reports, the club doctor said, a After the Champions League match of Bayern Munich against Porto the medical department was for some inexplicable reason made primarily responsible. The bond of trust is damaged.a

In the quarter-final match against FC Porto at Portugal, Bayern manager Pep Guardiola had just 14 fit players in his squad. He also mentioned that the unavailability of fit players hampered their game against the Portuguese club.

The German Champions missed the services of key players like Medhi Benatia, David Alaba, Arjen Robben, Franck Ribery and Javi Martinez. Bastian Schweinsteiger too missed the vital match due to fitness problems.

Along with Hans-Wilhelm Muller-Wohlfahrt, his son Kilian, Ueblacker and Lutz Hansel too offered their resignation.

It was a matter of concern at Bayern Munich as the doctor left the position after serving the club for almost 40 years. Hans-Wilhelm had quit Bayern in 2008-09 after reportedly having issues with the then manager Jurgen Klinsmann. He later returned to the club after the German manager left.

The Doctor has experience of working with Usain Bolt, Boris Becker and the German national football team.
