Barcelona’s Lionel Messi Could Head For Paris In The Future, Says His National Teammate

Former Real Madrid and Manchester United winger, Angel Di Maria is now playing for French giants Paris Saint-Germain, and he believes they have what it takes to lure compatriot Lionel Messi to the club.

While the 28-year-old Argentine is currently the most important player at FC Barcelona and arguably the best footballer in the world right now, Di Maria believes that PSG have the financial power to bring the striker to France in the near future.

“I hope that PSG can bring Messi to Paris one day,” Di Maria told French Radio Station RMC, . according to goal.com.

“Everything is possible. It is all about money. It would take a lot of money to sign a player like him. It would be great for Ligue 1 and French football in general if Messi joined PSG. PSG have the resources to sign him. Messi could come to Paris.”

Messi — Football’s Hottest Property

Lionel Messi is currently valued at 120 million Euros by transfermarkt.com, but it is understood that his real price tag would be much more given his stature in world football. Although most of the big European clubs have an envious eye on the Argentine, he is a La Masia product and has spent his entire career at Barcelona, who have helped him immensely on his journey to being the player he is today.

While rich clubs like Manchester City and PSG could be looking at the fact that his club contract ends in 2018, signing him is going to take a massive amount of effort and money. It is then safe to say that this dream signing is not likely to be happening any time soon.
