Atletico Madrid have reportedly agreed a deal with FC Porto beating Arsenal and AC Milan to sign Colombian striker Jackson Martinez.

Atletico Madrid are closing in to sign another striker in the form of FC Porto star Jackson Martinez, reports Spanish daily, Marca. The striker was linked to both . Arsenal and AC Milan but latest reports from Spain suggest that Atletico Madrid have agreed terms with FC Porto and only need to agree a contract with the striker himself.

There has been a lot of speculation about the Colombian striker who is keen to exit FC Porto this summer. The Portuguese cluba s president had earlier revealed that Martinez has chosen to join Milan after the Italian club activated his a 35 million release clause. However, the striker had also come forward and expressed his interest in joining Arsenal.

But it seems like Atletico Madrid has beaten both Arsenal and Milan to the Colombian forwarda s signature. Miguel A?ngel Gil representing the Spanish club and FC Porto president Pinto da Costa reportedly sat down to discuss the strikera s future and reached an agreement. The Porto president had earlier firmly declared that any club that wants to sign Jackson Martinez will have to pay his a 35 million release clause.

After Atletico Madrid failed to sign Carlos Tevez and agreed to sell Mario Mandzukic to Juventus, the Spanish club have gone to sign Luciano Vietto. If the club agree terms with Martinez, the Colombian will be their second signing of the season. If both the deals fall through without any complications, Atletico will have a four-man strike force with Griezmann, Torres, Vietto and Jackson Matinez in the roster.
