FC Barcelona are the Spanish champions. The Catalans beat Atletico Madrid to win their fifth La Liga crown in last seven years. Coach Luis Enrique was seemingly pleased with the victory but said that the job is not done yet, as they still have to play in the finals of UEFA Champions League and Copa Del Rey.

Atletico Madrid surprised everybody by winning the La Liga at Camp Nou last year. The Rojiblancos have failed to replicate the same form this season, and to make the matters worse for them, FC Barcelona won the title on Sunday in their own backyard.

An essential component of FC Barcelonaa s attack, Luis Suarez, missed this game due to an injury. The attack of FC Barcelona looked toothless in the first half as Atletico Madrid made them work hard in first 45 minutes.

But, a clinical finish from Leo Messi in the 65th minute helped them secure an all important victory. The Blaugrana looked out of the title race in the early weeks of January. But Luis Enrique worked his magic on them it seems as they have played some excellent football in past few weeks to dethrone Real Madrid from the top spot.

Luis Enrique, who was criticized by the media in the early parts of the season, was hero for them on Sunday. And the coach said that he has no complaints about this criticism now.

“It’s not about redemption,” Luis Enrique said after the game. “There’s no chance that a coach of a big team won’t get criticised. It’s something we already knew about, it’s part of the job.

“I have nothing to say about my future until the end of the season.”

However, the FC Barcelona coach has advised his players to maintain their concentration in order to win the La Liga and Champions League.

“I started this journey 10 months ago, with the club in a special situation. We made many changes. I’ve tried to do my best. There are still two titles before we know what grade we get.

“The club will tell us how we can celebrate. We will rest for a couple of days then think about the Copa del Rey final, a very special game.”
