Speaking ahead of Arsenala s away trip to Newcastle, Arsene Wenger admitted that his side lacked a finishing qualitiesa while saying that he was wary of Newcastle United after their performance at Old Trafford.

.

Despite a strong performance by Manchester United, Newcastle United held on to a 0-0 draw at Old Trafford after a strong defence thwarted an attack led by Wayne Rooney. Hence, as reported by the club website, Arsene Wenger is expecting a strong challenge at St Jamesa Park and believes that it is imperative for Arsenal to win the away fixture before the international break.

a They have just come out from a good result at Manchester United so ita s important that we prepare well and we give absolutely everything to win this game before the break.a

Maybe we are not firing on all cylinders at the moment

However, as reported by the club website, the Frenchman admitted that Arsenal were not a firing on all cylindersa as they are struggling to score goals in the Premier League. Speaking about Arsenala s a finishing qualitiesa , the manager contemplated that maybe his side was suffering due to forcing the situation a a little too mucha .

a Maybe we are not firing on all cylinders at the moment. By definition, the finishing is a little bit cyclical and it goes in cycles. Finishing qualities come and go and you do not always know why, but certainly at the moment we want it so much at home that wea re trying to force it a little bit.

It doesna t look natural enough in our finishing qualities because we want to force the situation a little too much.a

Having failed to sign Karim Benzema from Real Madrid, it will be interesting to see how Arsenal fare this season, especially with doubts raised regarding their striking abilities.
