Arsenal FC manager Arsene Wenger says he has no sympathy for Liverpool FC following the departure of their key players in recent times.

Arsenal host Liverpool FC in a crunch tie in the in the Premier League following an indifferent start to the new season which has already seen them lose once at home.

West Ham inflicted an opening day defeat on Wengera s men, but the London side recovered in the following game to beat Crytal Palace 2-1

Wenger has no sympathy for Liverpool FC

Liverpool have once against made major changes to their squad, having lost Raheem Sterling in the summer to Manchester City.

Wenger, who tried to sign Luis Suarez from Liverpool FC before the player moved to Barcelona the next year, said that he has no sympathy for the Reds as he looks to ready his side for the crunch game.

He was quoted saying by . ESPN FC: “Liverpool is in a position they can make their own decisions. They refused to sell us Suarez, so I cannot feel too much sympathy for them.a

“Let’s remember two years ago with Suarez, [Daniel] Sturridge and Sterling, Liverpool scored over a hundred goals, you need special quality to do that, and Sterling was part of that.

“I personally rate Raheem Sterling. We will see that in the longer term.”

Wenger reckons he has a lot of forward options

There has been a widespread outcry from the Arsenal fans to sign a new forward. The club have been linked with a host of names, too. However, Wenger says he has plenty of forward options himself, which in itself can prove something of a headache.

“It is an impossible job,” he said.

“I always get asked two questions: Why don’t you buy more players, and how do you keep them all happy now?

“I believe that competition is part of our job, but on the other hand you have to get the number right.

“If you have too many players in the squad, it goes against competition.

“If you have a certain number of players who think they never have a chance to play, you have killed something. Then if you do not have enough players, it creates too much of a comfort zone.”
